Dublin's latest dining experience full of flamboyance and theatrics. Head chef Roberto Rapisardi brings his unique style of flame fired cooking to Hellfire with Ireland’s first Hornos HBE charcoal oven.
The identity points to details and narrative derived from the name and the fiery aspects of the cooking methods. The dramatic typography, playful copy and punchy colour palette all have reference to the hell and fire aesthetics. It also mirrors Chef Rapisardi’s passion for this style of cooking and his fiery, Italian larger than life personality.
Taking inspiration from vintage devil depictions, we devised a hand-drawn Hellfire Imp as a cheeky and charming sign off on various touch points, such as postcards, perspex menu boards and matchboxes.
The identity is implemented with warmth, charm and a consistency of application to make the whole expression more sophisticated and less themed. It is carried through on everything from menus, website and social media to uniforms, stationery, signage and takeaway packaging, using the Hellfire pillars of passion, taste and heat as a guide and a means of bringing it all together.
At Hellfire, you can enjoy the smoky flavours of chargrilled meat, fish and pizza, using only the finest local produce, cooked to perfection.
'We worked with CI Studio when opening our new restaurant, Hellfire.
The creative team were professional, structured and thorough. Their passion is obvious from the outset and they treated our brand as if it was their own. From brief to design, to production, they were hands-on in all aspects of the project.
While helping us bring our ideas to life, they also challenged us where needed to ensure our brand identity was realised and visualised consistently. Opening a new restaurant in Dublin, we sought to make an impact with a unique product, and CI helped us to achieve this across all our branding and design needs.'
